Haibike are one of the best-known brands in electric mountain biking and they've been evangelising about it for many years. Their latest project is a full length feature film posing the question: is it possible to do the Trans Alp on an e-bike?

Given that Haibike have poured masses of time and money into the project and they sell e-MTBs, we're going to assume that the answer is a fairly resounding "yes" in the end, but that's not to say it won't be an engaging watch. The challenge is to get from Eibsee, near the Swiss/German border, to Venice: that's a 400km trip including some pretty serious terrain. We're guessing they'll be packing their battery chargers. The scenery in this short trailer is to die for, and certainly makes us wish we were halfway up an alp in the sunshine (with a film crew with spare batteries close to hand). Anyway, enjoy!
