This may not be the most practical cargo trike we’ve ever seen – but it’s certainly the most striking, combining a tricycle from the 1920s with the front end of a Citroën 2CV.
It’s the work of Milan-based designer Luca Agnelli, who creates unique electric pedal-assist bikes he creates using parts from salvaged vintage 1950s motorcycles, including petrol tanks that are repurposed to house the battery.

The trike is finished with a saddle and other accessories from Brooks, and has a 250 Watt motor.
It is a one-off created for the Autonomy Urban Mobility Show (link is external), which took place earlier this month at the Grande Hall de la Villette in Paris - around 5 kilometres along the Boulevard Peripherique from the Citroën plant at Levallois-Perret where the donor car would have been built.
Agnelli, who began his career as an antique furniture restorer, set up his Agnelli Milano Bici business in 2015.
