York based tricycle company Jorvik Tricycles has launched two new mountain trikes, bringing the trails to those on three wheels. Named the JMT-11 and JMT-13, each e-trike is available with either a 250W or 500W motor (the latter not conforming to EAPC restrictions).
Additionally, these are the first e-mountain trikes offered by Jorvik with dual batteries. The JMT-11 is the cheaper option of the two, at £3,899 for the 250W motor model. It comes equipped with a Bafang front-hub motor, an 840Wh lockable battery, Shimano NEXUS 7 speed hub gears, and RST hydraulic suspension forks.
For an extra £200, the JMT-13 model comes with a few upgrades, including a mid-drive Bafang M500 motor, Trama hydraulic suspension forks and a colour display. Both models are available in green, red or black and are compatible with a range of accessories such as pet beds and baskets.
MD and owner of Jorvik Tricycles, James Walker said: “Unveiling these two new mountain e-trikes shows our dedication to bringing more choice to the tricycle market, continuing our reputation as the brand to come to for quality, variety and of course, first-rate customer service.
“We design and build all our trikes in the UK and are passionate about helping customers select the right product for their needs. We’re passionate about our roots in helping people enjoy their freedom and want to continue offering fantastic products that quite literally change lives.”
Jorvik Tricycles has been catering to the e-trike market since its launch in 2014. These latest additions now brings their portfolio to 11 trikes, all featuring a low step-over frame design to increase accessibility.
What makes them even more interesting is the fact that some of the frames are folding – including the two e-mountain trike models announced. The latest e-mountain trikes can be purchased online now from jorviktricycles.com.
