3D printed bike frame specialists Urwahn have got together with accessory and component manufacturers Trickstuff and Beast to create a unique electric gravel bike. All three brands are German and are at the forefront of innovative cycling creations, whether that be handlebars, brakes or 3D printed frames.
The collaboration is built around Urwahn’s Waldwiesel gravel frame, with its distinctive seatstays. This is made from 3D printed steel, using a monocoque design to create sleek lines. Urwahn has gone for a MAHLE Smartbike Systems hub drive motor to add to the overall look and feel of the bike.
Urwahn’s CEO and founder, Sebastian Meinecke commented on the one-of-a-kind bike: “We really let loose and let our ideas run wild with this gravel e-bike. It’s just craving the next trail and is incredibly fun. It keeps a permanent smile on your face.”
Trickstuff’s contribution comes in the form of their C22 lightweight Piccola flatmount brakes, with 3D printed brake levers. The 3D printing doesn’t stop there either, with fellow German brand Trumpf providing a 3D printed Wahoo mount and bottle holder for the bike.
Finally, the carbon fibre cockpit and wheelset are provided by Beast, with their recently launched Hybrid Bar, and gravel-specific GR40 wheelset. The bike is also equipped with Lauf Grit suspension forks which provide 30mm of travel.
If you’re in the market for something as innovative as this, you’ll have to fork out €8,499. No word yet on whether it will be available for the UK market.
