Berlin-based e-bike subscription company Dance has added another e-bike to its range as well as a 45km/h electric moped. The firm’s bikes will also be introduced in four more cities: Hamburg, Munich, Vienna and Paris.
Founded by SoundCloud founders Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss and Alexander Ljung, along with the co-founder of Jimdo, Christian Springub, Dance launched in August 2021.
As with other subscription services, users get an e-bike delivered to their doorstep, with maintenance and insurance included for a rolling subscription fee.

Dance had, up until now, offered just the one bike: the Dance One. It has now added the Dance One Step, which is essentially the same bike but with a step-through frame.
It comes with a rear hub motor, a 353Wh battery and a carbon belt drive.
More strikingly, German users can now also select the Dance Moped, a customised version of a Niu product.

This has an 1800W motor and either a 1,560Wh or 2,100Wh removable battery. Dance reckon that’s good for around 70km of riding.
The product expansion follows the acquisition of Rollich, a Berlin-based e-moped subscription company.
“By offering electric mopeds, we can welcome more people to our movement,” said Springub. “We’re excited to make our subscription even more compelling to city dwellers.”
There’ll be an initial discount, but standard pricing will start at €59/month for a yearly e-bike subscription or €79/month for a flexible subscription.
E-mopeds will start at €89/month for a yearly subscription or €119/month for a flexible subscription.
