German e-bike brand Advanced Bikes has this week announced that they will be selling their electric mountain bikes in the UK, after previously focusing on their carbon composite, fully recyclable urban RECO bike. There are two models in the brand’s off-road range: Offroad Pro Full Suspension and Offroad Race Limited Edition. The latter will be in use during the e-MTB cross country events at the World Championships today.
The Offroad Race Limited Edition eMTB is the same bike ridden by the Advanced E-Racing Team in Germany. It weighs under 22kg and is equipped with high-end componentry. The team use Bosch’s Performance Line CX Race motor and SRAM X01 Eage AXS wireless drivetrains paired with RockShox ZEB Ultimate forks and RockShox Deluxe Ultimate rear shocks.
This race-ready machine is available from £9,199 and has already seen success on the e-racing circuit, winning the German national championships last week.
For those visiting the World Championships, you’ll be able to see the bikes in action today (August 9) at Glentress Forest during the eMTB cross-country races.
The Offroad Pro Full Suspension model is available in a more affordable package, starting at £5,399. It comes with a choice of SRAM SX or GX Eagle groupsets, and 625Wh or 750Wh batteries. It also uses a Bosch motor, this time the Performance Line CX with a maximum torque rating of 85Nm.
The bikes will initially be available through Ride Electric. Fin Robertson of Ride Electric commented: “I will personally be there to see the team race and can’t wait to familiarise myself more with this up and coming brand, its people and bikes. I was impressed to see what’s coming for model year 2024 when I saw their range at Eurobike in Frankfurt last month. Now it is the time to impress my own customers and let them have fun on the Advanced eMTBs.”
Adam and Sophie Browne from UK distributor Advanced Bikes UK added: “The German manufacturer has a wide range of all very reliable quality and beautifully designed Bosch powered eBikes; for the brand to really take off in the UK we feel it’s time to bring all their strongest models over here, the eMTBs being one of our favourites.”
