Orbea's Wild range of hardtails launched last year; we had the Wild 20 in for review here at ebiketips, and enjoyed riding it a lot. Now Ornea have complemented that range of bikes with a four-bike full-suspension line-up, the Wild FS.

"It’s time to get moving", says Orbea in its press release about the new range. "Load up your pack for an afternoon ride and start pedaling. Whatever obstacles exist between you and the trails and your Special Places, it´s time to ride over them. Wild FS revitalizes your riding and helps you chart new destinations. Take back control – Take back your Wild."

So what have Orbea made? Well, it's a 140mm travel full-suspension rig based on a Hydroformed AL7000 aluminium frame. All the bikes share the same basic frame, with sealed pivot bearings and  optimised-for-ebike suspension kinematics. 

That frame is sporting Shimano's E8000 MTB motor, and an internal battery mounted in the down tube. Orbea have decided to call this HideOut technology, and although it's not doing anything particularly ground-breaking it's a neat integration. The build is very much tailored for e-MTB. The bike uses the wider Boost spacing for front and rear axles, and the bike will accept either 27.5" or 29" wheelsets; all bikes come specced with 27.5x2.8" tyres. 35mm bar and stem combinations and larger disc rotors are designed to cope with the extra forces going through a heavier pedal-assisted bike.
